Simpy APIs available: Java, Python, PHP

Thanks to the international trio: David (USA), Benjamin (Germany), and Alexandru (Romania), Simpy now has 3 libraries that developers can use to talk to Simpy via its REST API.

We're still waiting for Ruby and .Net/C# hackers...

FeedFlare Unit For Simpy

For all of you using FeedBurner service for your feeds, you can now add a new FeedFlare unit to your FeedBurner feeds, and let your readers quickly and easily add your blog posts to their Simpy accounts.
A picture is worth a thousand words. How about a screenshot? Here is a screenshot of what I'm talking about, with the "Add to Simpy" FeedFlare unit circled.
This FeedFlare unit lives at http://www.simpy.com/ff/feedflare-add-to-simpy.xml. This is the FeedFlare unit URL to enter into your FeedBurner accounts.
The credit for this FeedFlare unit goes to Ralph Inselsbacher. Thanks Ralph!

Ajaxy Simpy Blog Module

Andu put together a cool-looking Simpy module for Drupal. Take a look, even if you are not using Drupal, or don't even have a blog. In the process of developing this module, Andu has also developed a PHP client for Simpy's REST API. I'm hoping Andu will find time to clean up the code, so Benjamin (ah, fresh new look, Benjamin!) and I can put Andu's module in SimpyAPI project at SourceForge.
I'm happy to see this international collaboration happening so organically. To hackers out there - let me know if you develop anything similar for WordPress, Blojsom, or any other blogging "platform".

Server Logs Reveal FAQs

As most of you, I analyze server logs regularly. Here are the top search terms that people use to get to this blog. I'll treat them as frequently asked questions and answer them the best I can. Here we go.

1) hello [smiley here] (page 1)
Hello there! It amazes me that this is the top search term!
2) brian quintana (page 1)
Brian doesn't live here any more. I didn't know who Brian Quintana was, so I had to look him up. It turns out he's somehow associated with Paris Hilton. I have no idea how a search for Brian Quintana leads people to this blog.
3) otis gospodnetic (page 1)
That's Simpy's dad.
4) simpy firefox (page 1)
I assume you are looking for Simpy's search plugin for Firefox, or some other tools
5) simpy chichimichi (page 1)
You've come to the right place.
6) simpy (page 1)
Simpy lives here.
7) simpy vs del.icio.us (page 1)
I assume people are looking for this comparison.
8) simpy blog (page 1)
Again, it's here.
9) removing raze spyware (page 1)
No clue. Next!
10) porno bbw (page 1)
No clue. Next!
11) chichimichi (page 1)
Again, it's here.
12) simpy opera (page 1)
Opera has some issues with Simpy. It's not entirely Opera's fault. Part of the problem lies in one of the third party software components that Simpy uses.
13) "better than del.icio.us" (page 1)
People really seem to want this information badly.

Number 13 is a nice enough number, so I'll stop at 13.
