Dropping AdSense

In a galaxy far far away, Simpy announced profit sharing with those people who enter their AdSense IDs in Simpy. Two years have passed and a number of people provided their IDs. However, recently I've noticed a trend of clueless or supposedly clueless people who choose to join Simpy purely (more or less) for this AdSense benefit. Long story short: I'm considering stopping this AdSense profit sharing business. Unless, by the following Friday somebody talks me out of stopping it, I'll axe it.

Maybe you could offer $2 for each domain name discovered or something?
Since domain names cost around $10, it would be pretty hard to abuse that system and turn a profit. :-)
Well, I just realized why my idea is stupid. Even if an abuser isn't creating the phishing sites, he/she could grab a phishing blacklist from PhishTank or something and bookmark all those sites to get money... Abusers can wreck nearly anything. :-(
Anyways, if Adsense profit sharing is going to end, does that mean guests will see less Adsense? It's sort of annoying how my tags list is squished by advertisements when I'm not logged in.

Yeah, abusers are a major pain...for everyone.
There won't be reduction in AdSense, as Simpy still has to cover its expenses - hardware, hosting, bandwidth... It's free, after all!
However, why you are you using Simpy without being logged in? I *never* see any ads on Simpy because I told Simpy to remember me. I have to remember to log out once in a while to look at ads and make sure they didn't go anywhere.
I have attempted, on several previous occasions, to post a response to your response, but it appears gremlins have stolen all my previous submissions. Trying once more...
The "remember me" option is handy, but it's of no use when I'm using a computer at my college, or any other computer in a more-or-less public environment. In fact, if I just want to access my public bookmarks, I may not log in at all.
Presently, when viewing a page like http://www.simpy.com/user/otis/links , you have Adsense and Top Tags squished together, which, IMO, is rather ugly. Couldn't you have Adsense below Top Tags?
Well, that one got through. I hope you don't mind me posting a few more times in an attempt to determine what exactly Blojsom didn't like about my past attempts.

Regarding Blojsom - yes, it's got some kind of a bug in spam-detection plugin, so it rejects valid comments (my own, too). Pain in the butt. So I've learned to hit ctrl-a ctrl-c both here and anywhere else on the web. If it doesn't go through, ctrl-v and do it again.
Regarding adsense - ads are there to keep Simpy going (for free). Ads that nobody sees and nobody clicks on are pointless. That's why ads have to be in very visible parts of the page.
Time to ctrl-a ctrl-c ...
Adsense above Top Tags, then? I just think those two shouldn't be squished together.

above Top Tags would work for ads, but it would hide those Top Tags below the fold. This means people new to Simpy would miss them, which means they wouldn't click them and would end up bouncing out of Simpy, not clicking on anything else, thus not increasing page views/ad impression, and that wouldn't work for Simpy again. It's hard to keep everyone happy and keep things free....
