Um, have you been reading what comes through the contact form? My apologies for being a party pooper, but I don't think you should be celebrating when Simpy is suffering from a rather nasty security flaw...

back after soo many hours and no reasons anywhere. Was it an unexpected downtime. I tried checking simpy's site availability with host-tracker.com but your site and blog simply vanished off the internet.

What really happened?

@Diabolic Preacher: In case you haven't figured it out from the spam around here which hasn't been deleted, Otis isn't around anymore to delete spam, explain downtimes, or maintain the site. Who knows where he's gone, but he's certainly not here any more.

You should be warned that you're endangering the security of your account (and possibly your computer, if your Web browser has a security flaw that hasn't been fixed) any time you see a bookmark on Simpy that doesn't belong to you. So, you can either shut yourself away from everyone else's bookmarks and view only your own (that means no more visiting of the top level of simpy.com), or start storing your bookmarks somewhere that's more secure.

Diabolic:
Yes, it was unexpected and caused by an unstable server (hardware, not software) that is going to get replaced after I return from vacation.

See above - vacation. No spam in comments here any more. Otis is very much around, so no need to panic. I don't think there are security issues that you hint at here. Could you please demo this security flaw and send me an email about how/where I could see it in action?

Vacation?? Some sort of notification about that would have been nice - if nothing else, you could've had an auto-responder handle the contact form or something! You could've saved me the hassle of trying to move my bookmarks to ma.gnolia. (Nice site, but their importer sux.)

I sent information about the security flaw at least twice to you, but that was some time ago... Shall I send it again?

I believe I have your email(s?), but it would be even more helpful to see the scenario you are describing in action.

Also each time I edit and save using Exif Pilot am I degrading the jpeg? JPEG image is not degraded after each editing and saving EXIF info with Exif Pilot. Sincerely, Artem Golubnichenko Two Pilots
